Two monkeys, both alike in dignity. Apparently one of them is evil, but it’s impossible to tell which. It almost doesn’t matter — whether you’re the evil one or the good one, you’ve got to embrace your doppleganger. Or beat them up, one of the two.

Pogo Banned from The United States
One of the Flock’s favorites, Pogo has been BANNED (exiled, banished, forbidden) from entering the United States. According to his website, he will have a more detailed explanation in the coming days, but if you got a chance to see him as he visited the U.S. earlier this year…consider yourself very lucky.
The song is catchy as hell, and the video perfectly captures that youthful yearning for independence and self-sufficiency, big-city-style. Things aren’t quite as simple as the song suggests — but damn, it’s a fun ride to go on. (And dance to.)
Win some Flock.Fm Swag — with your soooper taste in music
We’re having a contest! Whether you’ve never used the site, or an old, dyed-in-the-wool Flock addict, we’d like to invite you to put your best musical discoveries on display.
Share the song that gets the most hearts by Friday, 10/21, and win a Flock.FM tee-shirt. It’s a lovely dark grey with our slick logo on the front, and our slogan, “music that moves us,” adorning the back. It’s pretty good-looking.
If you’re not already on the site, you can sign up here, and just start posting to enter the contest!
You better post some awesome songs, people. T-shirts are freaking expensive.
We’ll post results here and on our Twitter!
Flock.FM in the top three of Echonest's Social Music App Challenge!
Earlier this summer, we entered a contest for the best social music app to use Echonest’s API. Even if you don’t know about Echonest, you’ve probably used a service they’re behind; their intel powers online music services for MTV, the BBC, Warner Music Group, and more. Basically, they’re awesome. And they’re also our neighbors in the Boston area!
We’ve used their digital Musical Brain to develop a recommendation stream for Flock.FM, which will learn from what you like, and point you towards new discoveries. We’re very pleased with it, and you can check it by signing up here!
Here’s a little video we made for the contest, in which our head honcho Stefan discusses his inspiration for Flock.FM, and where the project will go next.
Massive, awesome interview with Four Tet about this collaborations with artists such as Thom Yorke and Burial. Enjoy.
